When The World Was Young

Way back when the world was young

When the land was new and the Songs were sung

The people danced and they learned the Lore

Passed it on – what came before

The land provided what it had to give

To all the people so they could live

They followed the Lore – learnt what’s right

Remembered their stories from the stars at night

With gratitude they gave back to the land

So they could receive with their other hand

Each one knew their place to be

What they had to do – what they could see

Their lives were hard but simple as well

As the Old Ones share in the stories they tell

And the stars they shine with the Old One’s eyes

Soaring above keeping us safe from their place in the skies
