Old Man Goanna
Old Man Goanna parades around
Striding out across the ground
The ideas that float around his head
That settle gently into his tread
Sashaying quietly in the corner of your eye
Dashing in and taking a chance
In an ever-expanding dance
With danger
Open your eyes and you will see
The way he lives never showing fear
A cheeky man on powerful legs
Laughing at us all as he takes the eggs
