Heartblood
When the Rainbow Serpent first travelled this land
He covered it with veins to bring life as he planned
The water ran deep and could ever find its way
Across desert through mountains often it played
And wherever it ran the fishes swam free
Knowing that this was where they’re meant to be
Now bring in man and his greed for this gold
That ran through the land ancient and old
Selfish they fenced and the Serpent was mad
His plan was for all to share what they had
So the rivers dry up and the fish are all dying
And the men who covet continue their lying
We need to step back and remember the plan
Before all we have left is nothing but sand
